Hi there

This is my DT project for crafting from the heart, using an image from Pinky Dolls
There's something about this image that reminds me of a stationary range that was very populate when I was a child, I decided to colour it up in a similar style, i.e. very minimal colour pencil shading.
I've then added it to digital embellishments in a vintage style using serif

Lady of the Sea

What a fabulous new launch of digis from Mitzi at Aurora Wings today! 

I haven't used colour pencils since school but thought I'd try them out on this pretty image, the Derwent coloursoft range is very bendable and the front of this card actually started life as a blank white page. The background was softened further with distress inks.

I thought the poem fitted the image perfectly - it reads "Darwin may have been quite correct in his theory that Man descended from the apes in the forest, but surely women rose from the frothy sea as resplendent as Aphrodite on her scalloped chariot"

I thought I'd go with something bright this grey January day for my Crafting from the Heart DT project! 

This image is from Just Inked and I chose it because it just made me smile. Its been coloured with promarkers (basic primary shades) and compiled in serif with some bright backgrounds and a simple embellishment

This is my DT project for the Crafty Girlz challenge. It uses an image from A Day For Daisies which has been coloured with promarkers and pulled together in serif to make this little plaque

This image from Bugaboo is part of a mini digi set which includes many other images. I thought this one was so cute and would make a sweet digi card together with the tag which also comes in the set

I've coloured this with promarkers in minimal shades and then compiled with a background and photo elements in Serif

Aurora Wings - Snowman Sprite

I've coloured him up with promarkers and as there is so much white in the image, I've used a little ice grey 1 to add some shade to the "snow". I've then taken the image into Serif to add the background and sentiment

This is my DT project for the Crafty Girls Challenge blog, using a sweet image from Bugaboo.

I'm trying to build my digital craft skills with Serif but still love the physical art of colouring as I find it easier to shade and add dimension on an image using promarkers or colouring pencils rather than digital colouring.

For this design, the image was coloured using a limited set of promarkers and then cut out in serif and compiles with the background and font, finished with a light dusting of "digital snow" for the holidays
