This is my DT inspiration project for whoopsi daisy. Its been created in serif and the sentiment reads "smell the sea and feel the sky, let your soul and spirt fly"
The theme this week at whoopsi daisy is "lots of pink" and I decided to use serif again for my DT project. I thought the image of the girl and teddy worked well with the sentiment and for the theme, I layered about 5 papers and frames in various shade of pink with different levels of transparency - I think it gives the background a sort of washout out collage effect
This is the theme for the challenge at Whoopsi Daisy this week and this image fits it so perfectly! I haven't played with my serif software in a long time so decided to make a digital project this time. I think it would make a lovely tag.
The theme this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "lots of layers" and for my DT project I've interpreted this as lots of digital layers. The precoloured image has been overlayed 5 times in serif and placed on a lace background.
For this week's Whoopsi Daisy challenge, I decided to make my DT project fully digital. The precoloured image was cropped and the background & embellishments use a few digikits within Serif CraftArtist 2
The theme this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "Hand Coloured Image" so I decided to watercolour this image for my DT inspiration card.
The edge of the card has been finished with an accordion style frame (It's a little easier to see in the second picture) and the image has been suspended from one of the folds so it sits away from the back of the card.
The theme at Whoopsi Daisy this week is Easter and this is my DT Card. I've been playing with serif again so this is a digital project using easter tulip embellishments from a digikit.
The theme this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "lace and pearls" and this is my DT inspiration card. I've watercoloured the image using distress ink and dusted the same colours onto the card base. I've layered a few strips of lace at the top and bottom of the image and added pearl drops to finish
The theme this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "Lots of Flowers" and this is my DT inspiration card. The shaped ard base has been dusted with Distress Ink (tumbled glass, antque linen, chipped shappire) and the image has been coloured with promarkers. I used some handmade paper to make the branches and cut the glazed flowers from some designer paper
The challenge this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "monochromatic" so I decided to use shades of pink. This image is from sheet 502 and the little girl is so cute asleep on the pillow! Its been finshed with spellbinders dies and a mini doily.
The challenge theme this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "use a sentiment" and this is my DT inspiration card. Black, White and Red is my favorite colour combination and I wanted to go with a CAS look for this card
Its a love/valentine challenge at Whoopsi Daisy this week and this is my DT inspiration card. I've only recently tried watercolour and am still experimenting but love the softness of the colours.
I decided to go with a vintage feel with the doily, pearls and handmade background paper.
It's a tick tack toe challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy this week and this is my DT inspiration card. I thought the image was crying out to be water coloured. I've not tried water colouring before but am pleased with the result - it may well become a new favourite medium for me! I used distress inks for this project (spun sugar, vintage photo, walnut stain).
The tick tack toe elements are die cut, ribbon and circle although, digi, die cut and flowers also work.
The challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy is this week is "Favourite Colour Combination", so for my DT inspiration card, I used Red, Black, White - my all time all time favourite colours!
The background has been created using various elements from the Serif Craft Artist Frou Frou digikit
It's a celebratons challenge over at Whoopsi Daisy this week so I thought I would base my DT inspiration on New Year. This uses a lovely paddington day out serif digikit for the background and the line drawing of london in the "polariod". The digistamp is from Whoopsi Daisy (sheet 414)
Its a non traditional colours christmas challenge over at whoopsi daisy this week and this is my DT card. Its a side stepper which can double as a countdown calendar as it has little numbered tabs that count down the "sleeps until christmas" from 25 to 0.
Its a traditional colours christmas challenge over at whoopsi daisy this week and this is my DT inspiration card.
The image is so cute, I added a little digi mouse to it and in keeping with the candle and traditional theme, decided to add the first verse of "twas the night before christmas" on distressed paper with a little ink well image to finish it
The challenge this week at Whoopsi Daisy is "Give Thanks" so I decided to make a thank you card for my DT design. I think this image of a fairy writing a letter is so cute and I've coloured it with my promarkers to work with the distressed papers. Overall the design, papers and ribbon give a folk art style to the design which is not my usual style at all but I kinda like it! :)
The theme over at Whoopsi Daisy is flowers this week and this digi is just perfect for it. The card is designed to be a mini present too as the sentiment has been mounted on a paper pouch which could hold a little bag of seeds :)
The pouch is very easy to make - just a strip of patterned paper folded in half and a further flap folded down two sides. Use the flaps to glue the front and back together and cut away the excess. I've used a small circle punch to cut the semi circle at the top of the pouch.
